Dan Burstein

Dan Burstein is an award-winning journalist, an author, and a venture capitalist. He has been writing about new technology trends and investing in emerging growth companies for more than 20 years. Together with David Kline, Burstein wrote the seminal 1995 book press, Road Warriors: Dream and Nightmares Along the Information Highway, which was one of the first books to examine the broad impact of the internet and digital media more generally on business and society.

Dan Burstein founded Millennium Technology Ventures in 2000 and co-founded Millennium Technology Value Partners in 2004. He currently serves as a Managing Partner of both funds. For many years, Dan was Senior Advisor at The Blackstone Group, and has also served as a consultant to the CEOs and senior executives of major global corporations. In the last decade, Dan has served as on the Boards of more than a dozen new technology and media companies.

Burstein has also written books about global macroeconomics, competitive technology and trade strategies, and the financial and political futures of China, Japan, and the European Union. He is a frequent guest expert on television programs ranging from CNBC, CNN, Fox, and Bloomberg to Charlie Rose and Oprah.

Most recently, Dan Burstein and Arne de Keijzer created and edited the New York Times-bestselling Secrets of The Code: The Unauthorized Guide to the Mysteries Behind the Da Vinci Code and Secrets of Angels & Demons: The Unauthorized Guide to the Bestselling Novel. These books are also bestsellers in more than two dozen international editions, with well over one million books in the "Secrets" series now in print around the world.
